Captain Charles "Chuck" Sockett was a U.S. Marine who served heroically in Iwo Jima and the Korean War. After returning home, he channeled his discipline and dedication into building a dozen car washes across Southern California — including Fashion Square Car Wash in 1966. His commitment to quality service and community has left a lasting legacy that continues to shape the business to this day.

Originally named Royal Car Wash of Bullocks Fashion Square, the business proudly carried the slogan "Where the stars wash their cars!" A full-service car wash at the time cost just $1.50, offering high-quality service that quickly made it a favorite among both locals and celebrities. Over the years, the name and services evolved, but the commitment to excellence has remained.
